WHAT DO YOU LOOK FOR IN A CHURCH?
Although there are many things to look for, here are 3 essentials.
FIRST: THE CHURCH MUST BE A HOUSE OF PRAYER
Far too many churches spend more time praying over the tithes and offerings than they do over you and your loved ones. Many spend less than five minutes per week in corporate prayer! Biblically speaking, a church that does not pray is not a church at all for Jesus said "My House shall be called a House of Prayer".
SECOND: THE CHURCH MUST BE A BATTLEGROUND
Some see the church as a Hospital for Sinners. Others attend merely for the entertainment. For that reason so many are losing the battle when it comes to the attacks of Satan. The church you attend should be a "Battleground with an Infirmary". It's a place where we are equipped to do warfare in the spiritual realm.
THIRD: THE CHURCH IS A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH
When it comes to your salvation and that of your loved ones. When it comes to sickness, disease and infirmty both physical, mental and emotional - the church you attend is a matter of life and death.
What good is "entertainment" when these things are on the line? If Jesus had preached some of the sermons that come from our modern day pulpits He would have never been crucified.
