12 Ways to Pray – To Get Them Saved!

Next to our own salvation, nothing should be as important as the salvation of our own lost loved ones. Here are twelve ways to pray to get them saved.

1.  Pray the Power of the Holy Spirit Upon Them

• They may not listen to you - but they’ll not resist the Holy Spirit
• The Spirit helps you by: (1) Convicting them of sin, (2) Convincing them  
• Jesus is the only way, and (3) Converting them into born-again believers
• Scripture: John 16:7-8; Acts 26:14; Zechariah 4:7; John 3:5-8

2.  Ask Others to Water Your “Prayer Seeds”

• Use the spiritual law of planting, sowing and reaping
• Prayer seeds you plant, others water, and God gives the increase
• Scripture: 1 Corinthians 3:6; John 4:35-38; Matthew 18:19-20

3.  Ask God to Direct Other Christians to Witness to Them

• God sends His “other children” to witness to our children and loved ones
• God directed Philip to witness to the Ethiopian
• God directed Ananias to pray for Paul
• God directed Peter to witness to the house of Cornelius 
• God redirected the path of Paul to witness to the Macedonians

4.  Pray the Blood of Jesus Over Them – A “Blood Covering”

• Satan knows the power of Jesus’ shed blood on the Cross of Calvary
• Satan will run from the Blood and the Power of the Cross
• Scripture: Colossians 2:14-15

5.  Pray for Angels to Protect Them – A “Holy Hedge of Protection”

• Angels are ministering spirits who render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation
• The apostles were released from jail by an angel
• Peter was set free from a death sentence by angels because others were praying for him
• Scripture: Acts 5:19; 12:3-11; Hebrews 1:14

6.  Use Prayers of Intercession for Them – A “Prayer Covering”

• Intercession places you between Satan’s power and your loved ones to intercept what he casts and throws their way
• Greater is He who is in you, than he who is against them!
• Scripture: Deuteronomy 9:6-9; Psalm 106:19-23; 1 Timothy 2:1-4 

7.     Bind Satanic Spirits

• Use the Name of Jesus to bind, quench, restrict, inhibit and loose the power of demonic spirits off your loved ones
• Scripture: Matthew 10:1,7-8; 18:18-20; Mark 3:14-15; 9:20-29; 16:17; Ephesians 6:17b-18

  8.    Use the Power of Fasting

• Fasting strengthens your prayer power
• Jesus fasted before His greatest miracles and healings
• Some spirits are only cast out through prayer & fasting
• Scripture: Matthew 17:21; Mark 9:29

9.    Pray God Lift the Veil of Blindness from their Eyes

• Through prayer, binding demonic spirits and fasting, the veil of blindness can be lifted for them to see the truth
• The truth will set them free
• Scripture: 2 Corinthians 4:3-4; 3:16; 1 John 3:8b; Luke 19:10

10.  Pray in the Power of the Holy Spirit

• When you don’t know how or what to pray in the human realm, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit who will intercede on your behalf 
• Scripture: Romans 8:26-27; 1 Corinthians 14:14-15; Ephesians 6:18

11.  Pray the Scriptures Over Them

• Acts 26.18  Deliverance from Satan’s dominion to God’s dominion
• Ephesians 1:18-19  That their eyes be opened to the Truth
• John 14:13  God responds when we ask in the Name of Jesus
• John 16:23-24  God wants your joy to be made full
• 1 John 5:14-15  God will do what His will is – convict the lost 
• Luke 19:10  Jesus came to seek and save the lost

12. Ask God to Have Mercy on You for the Sake of Your Loved Ones

• The Canaanite woman asked Jesus to have mercy upon her for the sake of her demon-possessed loved one and He responded
• A man with a demon-possessed son received the same mercy
